Over the last two years, Tikvah has led the way in mobilizing Jewish day schools across the nation to go phone-free, bell to bell.
Now, it is time to confront the next challenge to our children's intellectual and moral formation: artificial intelligence. AI has entered classrooms and childhood faster than schools—and our pedagogical and ethical frameworks—have been able to respond. We need a roadmap.
On February 10, Caroline Bryk, founder of the Jewish Parents Forum, will sit down for a conversation with social psychologist and bestselling author Dr. Jonathan Haidt. Together, they will discuss: how the use of AI impacts moral and cognitive development; why Dr. Haidt believes we are at a generational tipping point; and how Jewish communities can serve as America's citadels of both intellectual achievement and healthy spiritual and emotional formation.
